About Sudoku Master

Sudoku needs no introduction, and that is precisely why a good browser implementation is worth having: nine rows, nine columns, nine boxes, and every digit from one to nine used exactly once in each. Sudoku Master delivers the classic puzzle across several difficulty tiers, so the same board serves as a five-minute distraction or a serious sitting depending on which level you select.

What makes Sudoku endure is that it is pure deduction with no arithmetic despite the numbers. Every valid puzzle can be solved by elimination alone, and guessing is never required, only faster in the short term and disastrous in the long term. Beginners tend to scan for the digit that appears most often on the board and place it wherever it is forced; harder tiers require pencilling in candidates and spotting pairs that eliminate options elsewhere. The game is built in portrait orientation at 750x1334, so it is designed for phones and appears in a tall frame on a desktop browser. All input is handled by clicking or tapping.

How to Play

Click or tap to play. Select an empty cell and choose a digit from one to nine. Each digit must appear exactly once in every row, every column and every three-by-three box. Choose a difficulty level before starting, and use the pencil or notes function to mark candidate values in a cell while you work.

Game Features

  • Classic nine-by-nine Sudoku with multiple difficulty tiers
  • Candidate and notes support for harder grids
  • Puzzles solvable by logic alone, with no guessing required
  • Portrait layout designed for phones

Tips and Strategies

Start with the digit that already appears most often. It has the fewest remaining valid positions, so it is the easiest to place with certainty.

Scan boxes, not just rows. A digit forced into a single cell within a three-by-three box is the most common early breakthrough.

Write candidates down. On harder tiers, spotting a pair of cells that can only hold two values is what unlocks the rest of the grid.

Never guess. If no cell is forced, you have missed an elimination somewhere rather than reached a puzzle that requires luck.
