Pro Golfer is a course-by-course golf game controlled entirely with the mouse. Each hole asks the same two questions in a different arrangement: where are you aiming, and how hard are you hitting it. The scoring is the traditional one, so the objective is to finish each course in as few strokes as possible, and that single constraint is what stops the game from being a matter of hitting everything at full power.
Overhitting is the most expensive mistake available. A shot that sails past the hole into a hazard costs a stroke to recover and often leaves a worse angle than the one you started with, so the mathematics of the game consistently favour the shorter, safer shot. Obstacles are placed to reward players who lay up deliberately rather than attempting to reach the pin from anywhere. The presentation is clean and readable, difficulty rises across the courses, and because it is mouse-only in a compact 4:3 frame, it is an easy game to pick up for a few holes and put down again.
How to Play
Use the mouse to play. Aim your shot, then set the power of your swing and release to hit the ball. Navigate around the obstacles on each course and complete every hole using as few strokes as possible.

Tips and Strategies
Underhit rather than overhit. A short approach costs you one comfortable stroke; a long one usually costs a stroke plus a bad angle.
Lay up in front of hazards deliberately. Two safe shots beat one ambitious shot and a recovery.
Aim at where you want the next shot to start from, not just at the hole.
Read the obstacles before setting power. The power meter moves quickly, so decide on the number before you start the swing.
