Memorize and Repeat the Shape is a visual working-memory exercise presented as a game. A pattern of connected dots appears on a grid, a timer gives you a few seconds to study it, and then it disappears and you have to reconstruct the same shape by connecting the dots yourself. Get it right and the level ends automatically.
The design is careful about how it escalates. More lines are added, the grid expands, diagonal connections are introduced, and longer spans between dots become possible. Importantly, the difficulty eases slightly each time the grid grows, so a new layout never feels unfair before you have adapted to it, and then it climbs again. Most players discover that memorising the shape as a path, tracing the route the line takes, works far better than trying to memorise individual segments, and that once diagonals appear the trick is to note where the pattern departs from the horizontal and vertical rather than recording every line. The game is built in portrait at 1080x1920 and is designed for touch.
How to Play
Press the start button. A pattern made of connected dots appears on the grid, and a timer shows how long you have to memorise the lines. When the pattern disappears, connect the dots to recreate the same shape. If your answer is correct the level ends automatically and you advance to the next one.
Game Features
- Visual working-memory test with timed study phases
- Grid that expands and adds diagonal connections over time
- Difficulty that eases briefly after each layout change
- Portrait WebGL build designed for touch
Tips and Strategies
Memorise the pattern as a single route, not as separate lines. Tracing the path in your head is far more reliable than recalling each segment.
Note the exceptions. Once diagonals appear, remember where the shape breaks from horizontal and vertical rather than recording every connection.
Use the full timer. Looking away early is the most common cause of a failed reconstruction.
After the grid expands, expect a brief easier stretch. It is a deliberate adjustment period, so use it to get comfortable with the new layout.
