Dungeons Quest belongs to the survivor-like branch of the roguelite family: you control a single character in a 3D arena, enemies arrive in continuous waves, and your weapon fires on its own so that all of your attention goes into positioning. Defeated monsters drop experience gems, and each level-up interrupts the action to offer a short list of upgrades. Because that list is drawn at random, no two runs produce the same character. One attempt might turn into a close-range build that shreds anything that touches you; the next might lean on ranged magic that clears the screen before enemies arrive.
The difficulty curve is built around density rather than individual enemy strength. Early waves are sparse enough to walk through, but the spawn rate climbs steadily, elite monsters appear with far more health, and mini-bosses arrive between stages before a final boss closes the run. Coins collected along the way persist, which gives failed runs a purpose. The game runs in WebGL at a 16:9 resolution and needs a keyboard, so it is best played on a desktop or laptop.
How to Play
Move with WASD. Your weapon fires automatically, so you never need an attack button, and survival depends entirely on where you stand. Use the mouse to navigate menus and to pick an upgrade whenever you level up. Press ESC to pause and resume.
Game Features
- 3D survivor-style roguelite with randomised upgrade draws
- Automatic attacks that shift the focus onto positioning
- Elite monsters, mini-bosses and a final boss encounter
- Persistent coins that carry over between runs
Tips and Strategies
Keep circling. Standing still lets waves surround you, and in a game with automatic attacks, movement is your only defence.
Pick movement speed early. Speed upgrades compound with every other choice because they let you reposition before a wave closes in.
Do not spread your upgrades. Two or three abilities pushed to their limit clear waves far more reliably than six abilities at their base level.
Use the pause. The upgrade screen stops the clock, so take the time to read what each option actually does before choosing.
Controls
- WASD — Move
