Dama Stars is an implementation of Italian draughts, a regional variant of checkers whose rules differ from the English game in ways that genuinely change how you play. As in every version, you jump over your opponent's pieces to capture them and promote to a king on reaching the far side of the board. The Italian ruleset is stricter about which captures are legal and about what an uncrowned piece may take, which rewards players who slow down and read the board rather than grabbing the first available jump.
The game offers three AI difficulty levels and a two-player mode on a single device, which makes it equally suitable as a solo exercise or a game to hand back and forth with someone else. Draughts is a forcing game: because captures are compulsory, a well-placed sacrifice can steer your opponent into a sequence they have no legal way to refuse. That is the central idea worth learning here, and the easier AI levels are a reasonable place to practise it. The board is presented in portrait orientation and is controlled entirely by clicking or tapping.
How to Play
Click or tap to play. Select one of your pieces and then tap the square you want to move it to. Jump over an opponent's piece to capture it, and reach the far side of the board to promote a piece to a king. Choose one of the three difficulty levels to play against the computer, or select the two-player mode to play against someone else on the same device.

Tips and Strategies
Use compulsory captures against your opponent. If a jump is forced, you can offer a piece to steer them into a sequence they cannot decline.
Keep your back row intact for as long as you can. It denies your opponent a promotion square and is the cheapest defence available.
Advance in connected groups. A single piece pushed forward alone is almost always captured.
Trade pieces when you are ahead. Simplifying the board converts a material lead into a win far more reliably than trying to hold a complicated position.
